Getting a patent is not an easy endeavour, so it makes one wonder how some of these people persisted long enough to carry it through to the end. Bizarre aptly describes most of them, some are just so innovative they had to be included in the mix. An original patent drawing illustrating the objective along with a bit of the claim or description of each selection, written by the inventor, taken from the original document is provided.

Burials	The main concerns here seem to be either to keep dead bodies in the ground or to make sure revivified ones get out.
Exercise	Exercise equipment for birds, dogs, and man to all stay in shape together.
Flight	Aeroplanes that look like birds, wings for man to fly and even flying saucers.
Mouse Traps	As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, " Build a better mouse trap and the world will beat a path to your door."
Just Plain Weird	One of a kind gadgets that don't really fit into any category.
